It supports HDMI 2.1, which offers faster throughput (and therefore better quality pictures) for external devices. It's got Apple's AirPlay 2 standard which allows for better streaming of content from your Apple devices, while also adding multi-room support. Last year's Dolby Atmos (for more immersive sound) and Dolby Vision (for deeper, richer blacks) are back, and work nicely with the new processor update in this year's LG OLED. More on that below.

The LG C9 is one of the smartest, highly-specified, and comprehensively-featured TVs that we've ever tested. The OLED 4K panel delivers all the detail, deep blacks, accurate colours and wider viewing angles we'd expect, while the new AI-enhanced processing takes the image quality to another level. The inclusion of HDMI 2.1 also adds a cheeky spot of future-proofing.

Well, I love tech so I’ll throw some technical terms out there: HDMI 2.1, eARC, Variable Refresh Rate , HDR10 - all these are new upgrades and best of all, they futureproof this TV for the years to come. LG also improved and upgraded its Alpha 9 to Gen 2 processor which is responsible for image processing with the help of AI (artificial intelligence) as well as AI enabled sound improvements and even its smart functions are being AI analyzed (WebOS with ThinQ AI). Basically, all the above mentioned features make this TV produce superb image quality.
